Mojo, the Pug Formerly Known As Sherman

Back in May, I photographed Sherman for Happy Ending Rescue. He is now happily living with his new forever family in Glendale! And he has a brand new moniker - Mojo, short for, yes, Mojoceratops.

He's such a needy little boy that his new family adopted him a sister named Jackie (as in, they adopted two dogs in the last two weeks!) They say their life has changed a wee bit, especially considering they already had two cats.

I went up to visit Mojo and took a few snaps of him and his new life.

Santa Monica is Drowning in Cute Pooches

Why go to a breeder when you can find the perfect awesome dog at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter? They just have soooo many different types of dogs, and will let you walk around and play with them, to make sure you find your perfect companion. I imagine this goes for the animal shelter in your area, as well.

After taking photos for them for a few months now, it's a miracle I am not a mother to a dozen dogs!

Puppies at My Paw Paw Groomer

Viki at My Paw Paw dog groomer is a huge pet lover and foster to many of the dogs that come through Happy Ending Rescue.

I was at her shop the other day and she just happened to be dog sitting for these little pups!

Kitten Explosion!

The Santa Monica Animal Shelter has suddenly found themselves drowning in kittens! New litters have steadily been arriving for a couple of weeks. And this box of one-month-old babies just showed up at their door the other day.

Mattie & Daisy-Dew

The other day, I got to go just down the street near Culver City to photograph Mattie and Daisy-Dew!

David and Justin had been dads to Mattie, a cute little jindo mix, for some time. But they said she was so smart and fiesty that she really needed a permanent playmate. So just a couple of weeks earlier, they adopted Daisy-Dew, a sweet pit bull who had previously been wandering the streets with no home.

They get along famously, but little Mattie definitely runs the show!

This big guy was just saved from the West LA shelter by Ace of Hearts! He's getting all cleaned up at Century Vet Group and will be rarin' to go...

Easter in July

The Santa Monica Animal Shelter has a rabbit and a couple of ducks for your non-dog-and-cat needs!
